Social
Advocacy

St. John of God Centre stands as an advocate for the equal opportunity and the legal rights of people with disabilities. On behalf of the service users, we challenge local, state and central governments in regard to educational scholarship, legal guardianship, lifelong care, property rights, educational right and other disability benefits. We understand that mass social awareness only can change traditional attitudes of the society towards mentally challenged, and keeping this in mind, we have started Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programmes which aim to rehabilitate disabled children/adults in their community with the support of local community and organisations.
